Do not raise vehicle by placing jack under the parallel links or radius rod.
1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove caliper assembly and rotor.
2. Remove parallel link and radius rod attaching bolts, Fig. 13.
3. Remove stabilizer attaching bolt, then stabilizer connecting rod.
4. Remove rear seat, then finish cap, Fig. 14.
5. Remove upper strut attaching bolts, then strut.
6. To remove spring from strut mount assembly in a vise.
7. Loosen piston lock nut, but do not remove.
8. Compress spring with tool No. HT71780000 or equivalent, until insulator can be turned by hand.
9. Remove piston lock nut, then spring tool.
10. Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a. When installing spring onto strut two identification color marks must facing the lower spring seat.
b. Tighten suspension nuts and bolts to specifications.
