Parking Brake Control: Adjustments

Adjustment:





Note: Pay attention to the following points after adjustment.

a. There is no drag when control lever is being released.
b. Parking brake returns to stopper bolt when control lever for rear disc brake models is released.





1. Loosen parking brake cable.
2. Depress brake pedal fully more than 5 times.
3. Adjust control lever by turning adjusting nut.
4. Pull control lever with specified amount of force. Check lever stroke and ensure smooth operation.

Number of notches: 6 - 8 [196 N (20 kg, 44 lb)]

5. Bend warning lamp switchplate. Warning lamp should come on when lever is pulled "A" notches. It should go oft wh~n the lever is fully released. Number of "A" notches :1
