Disassembly and Assembly

Fig. 3 Rear Caliper Disassembly.:

Refer to Fig. 3 for following procedure.
1. Remove caliper from vehicle.
2. Remove piston by turning it counterclockwise with suitable long nose pliers.
3. Pry off ring A from piston with suitable pliers and remove adjusting nut.
4. Disassemble cylinder body as follows:
a. Pry off ring B with suitable pliers, then remove spring cover, spring and seat.
b. Pry off ring C, then remove key plate, push rod and rod.
c. Remove piston seal.
5. Remove return spring, stopper bolt and lever.
6. Reverse procedure to assemble.
