Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Description and Operation

Do not disassemble the proportioning valve. The proportioning valve regulates the distribution of a fluid pressure to the front and rear brakes to prevent skidding in the event of rear wheel lock and to obtain a higher brake efficiency within the range of service brake application.
