Tightening Torque Specifications
Intake Manifold To Cylinder Head 15-20 Nm (150-200 kg. cm, 11-14 ft. lbs.)
Intake Manifold Stay To Cylinder Block Bolts 23-30 Nm (230-300 kg. cm, 17-22 ft. lbs.)
Intake Manifold Nuts 18-25 Nm (180-250 kg. cm, 13-18 ft. lbs.)
Tightening Sequence:
Using sequence shown in the illustration and wrench tool No. 09221-32001 or 09221-11000, or equivalents, tighten cylinder head bolts as follows:
10 mm CYLINDER HEAD BOLT;
a. Tighten in sequence to 30 Nm (300 kg. cm, 22 ft. lbs.)
b. Turn in sequence 60°- 65
c. Turn in sequence an additional 60°- 65°
12 mm CYLINDER HEAD BOLT;
a. Tighten in sequence to 35 Nm (350 kg. cm, 26 ft. lbs.)
b. Turn in sequence 60°- 65
c. Turn in sequence an additional 60°- 65°
Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolt Tightening sequence
Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolt - 14-15 Nm (140-140 kg. cm, 10-11 ft. lbs.)
Camshaft Sprocket Bolt - 100-120 Nm (1000-1200 kg. cm, 74-89 ft. lbs.)
Crankshaft Pulley Bolt - 170-180 Nm (1700-1800 kg. cm, 125-133 ft. lbs.)
Cylinder Head Cover Bolt - 8-10 Nm (80-100 kg. cm, 6-7.4 ft. lbs.)
Front Case Bolt - 20-27 Nm (200-270 kg. cm, 15-20 ft. lbs.
Rear Plate Bolt - 8-10 Nm (80-100 kg. cm, 6-7.4 ft. lbs.)
Timing Belt Tensioner Bolt - 43-55 Nm (430-550 kg. cm, 31-40 ft. lbs.)
Timing Belt Cover Bolt - 8-10 Nm (80-100 kg. cm, 6-7.4 ft. lbs.)
Timing Belt Idler Bolts - 43-55 Nm (430-550 kg. cm, 31-40 ft. lbs.)
Drive Plate To Torque Converter:
Bolt Size M10-8T 4.6-5.3 kg.m (33-38 ft. lbs.)
