TIBURON DOOR GLASS ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE
DESCRIPTION:
The Tiburon incorporates a frameless door glass design. The following procedure can be used to adjust the door glass.
DIAGNOSIS:
Following the procedure below, determine where the glass needs adjustment.
Where does it not fit properly? If the need for adjustment cannot be clearly determined, ask the customer to describe the condition that prompted them to bring the vehicle in for service. Determine if it is a:
^ Wind leak
^ Wind turbulence noise
^ Water leak
^ Interference with the roofrail
^ An appearance issue, etc.
The part of the glass with the most noticeable location is:
^ By the outside mirror (delta sash/mirror quadrant)
^ At the top
^ Middle of the "B" pillar, etc.
The answers to these questions will lead you to the type of adjustment needed.
Using this information, you should be able to adjust only the area required. Attempts to adjust the complete system are usually not required, and can be very complex. Read the complete set of adjustment procedures below, and use the ones which apply to the vehicle you are working on.
Note:
If the door requires adjusting, it must be adjusted first (with the glass lowered slightly), then adjust the door glass.
