Service Procedure:
1. Delta Sash (Mirror Quadrant) Adjustment:The delta sash (mirror quadrant) adjustment will adjust the fit of the glass at it's front edge, and will affect how the delta sash fits to the bottom of the "A" pillar.
Adjust the delta sash by using the delta sash adjusting bolt at the bottom of the sash. (Distance between the delta sash and the door inner panel: 17 mm, 0.669 in.)
Delta sash mounting bolt tightening torque: 6.5 - 10.1 lb.ft.
Delta sash adjusting bolt tightening torque: 6.5 - 10.1 lb.ft.
2. Front Channel Inward/Outward Adjustment:
The front channel adjustment will adjust the angle the window sits when the door is open, and how tightly it presses against the door opening along the "A" pillar. If it is too tight, the window will not roll up properly. If it is too loose, the window will be gapped to the "A" pillar, creating a wind noise.
Adjust the channel by using the channel adjusting bolt at the bottom of the channel. (Distance between the channel and the door inner panel: 18.5 mm, 0.728 in.)
Channel mounting bolt tightening torque: 6.5 - 10.1 lb.ft
Channel adjusting bolt tightening torque: 6.5 - 10.1 lb.ft
3. Regulator Inward/Outward Adjustment:
This adjustment is similar to the adjustment procedure # 2, but effects the fit of the glass to the roof moulding.
Adjust the regulator by using the regulator adjusting bolt at the bottom of the regulator. (Distance between the channel and the door inner panel: 14.5 mm, 0.571 in.)
Regulator upper mounting bolt tightening torque: 6.5 - 10.1 lb.ft.
Regulator adjusting bolt tightening torque: 6.5 - 10.1 lb.ft.
4. Glass Stabilizer Adjustment:
This adjustment affects how loose the glass is when rolled down and how far the bottom of the glass is positioned outward when closed.
Adjust the front and rear stabilizers in the positions which will ensure correct clearance, then retighten the stabilizer nuts securely.
Stabilizer tightening torque: 6.5 - 10.1 lb.ft
5. Glass Height Adjustment:
This adjustment affects the clearance of the glass to the roof section (see page 2, section B-B).
Adjust the clearance between the glass and the roof using the stopper and the catch mounting bolts.
Note:
When the glass is fully closed, the glass end must be parallel to the weatherstrip in the roof section and the two stoppers must simultaneously come into contact with the catchers.
Stopper catch tightening torque: 6.5 - 10.1 lb.ft
Glass stopper tightening torque: Tighten securely
6. Glass Front/Rear Adjustment:
This adjustment moves the glass front and rear, and also controls the angle of the rear edge along the "B" pillar.
Adjust the front/rear clearance of the glass to the "B" pillar weatherstrip. Mark the locations of the bolts mounting the glass to the carrier plate. Loosen the bolts just enough to obtain the desired adjustment. Adjust the glass. Tighten the bolts securely.
