SERVICE INFORMATION:

This TSB is to inform you that the 1995 Sonata is equipped with three (3) keys.

Two of these keys are normal full functioning keys with a plastic grip area. They operate all door locks, ignition, trunk and glove box.

The third key is an all metal key that does not have a plastic grip area. R is a "valet" key which only operates the doors and ignition switch. This is designed to restrict access to the trunk and glove box, when the vehicle is left in a valet parking situation.

NOTE:
Please be advised that no mention of this feature is made in the 1995 Sonata Owners Manual at this time. This will be addressed at the next reprint. Please advise your sales department so they can explain this feature to new Sonata owners. Currently, no key blank is stocked for the special valet key. HMA will notity you when it becomes available.
