SCOUPE TURBO MAINTENANCE

Please note the following instructions for the Turbo Scoupe:

Oil change Interval
5,000 miles or 6 months After changing the oil, allow the engine to idle for 30 seconds before driving to insure that the oil has reached the turbo.

Start-Up
Allow the engine to idle for 10 seconds before driving away. This insures that an adequate supply of oil has reached the turbo.

Driving
Do not drive the vehicle with the 6th boost indicator light (red) illuminated as engine damage may result.

Shut-Down
Allow the engine to idle before turning off the ignition. This allows the turbo to cool down. This is especially important after a long period of high boost.

City driving no waiting
Highway driving (no boost) 1 minute
Hill climbing (high boost) 2 minutes

WARNING:
DO NOT OPERATE THE ENGINE WITH THE AIR CLEANER REMOVED AS THIS MAY ALLOW A FOREIGN OBJECT TO ENTER THE TURBO AND DAMAGE THE COMPRESSOR WHEEL.
