Tape Player: Service and Repair

Note: For operation Instructions for the anti-theft system, please refer to the audio system section in the Owner's Manual. This information is not in the Service Manual.


Setting system - The system is in operation once the customer has pushed the required buttons and entered the customer selected 4-digit ID number (Anti-theft code).

Anti-Theft system operation - If the normal electrical power source (battery terminal or Connector) is disconnected for repair work etc, you must input the anti-theft code of 4-digit numbers into the unit by pressing six preset memory keys. When the power source is connected again.

Incorrect anti-theft code input cancelling system - When unit power switch is turned on, "CODE" mark will be lit on LCD, then input Anti-Theft Code by pressing preset buttons. If incorrect code is input, press and hold BAND button until incorrect code on LCD disappears and "CODE" mark will be lit again. Then enter correct code. If incorrect code is input 3 times, it will be impossible to cancel incorrect code input and enter correct code for 1 hour.



Radio Unit Removal







1. Remove the facia panel mounting screws.







2. Disconnect the 5-connectors as shown.







3. Unscrew the radio mounting screws and remove lhe.radio unit from the mounting bracket.
4. Installation is the reverse order ot removal.
