Subject SEPARATION OF NAME BAR





Condition: The ends of the Name Bar are separated.

Cause: The adhesive used to hold the pieces of the Name Bar together may not hold in high temperature areas.

Correction: Open trunk and clamp the halves of the Name Bar together to create a tight seam. Apply a bead of Cyanoacrylate adhesive* to the seam. Allow the adhesive to cure for approximately 10 minutes before removing the clamps.

*Cyanoacrylate adhesives (Super Glues) come in many formulations. Be sure to use a product that is specifically formulated for plastics and that is fast curing.
