When installing new front hub bearings, or reinstalling the bearings after servicing, make sure that the two halves of the inner race and the outer race are from the same manufacturer. There are two types of inner races and they can be identified by the grooves in the inner races as shown below. The outer race has the manufacturer's name engraved onto the side.

The two different types of inner races must not be mixed.

If the inner races are mismatched, the vehicle may develop a front wheel bearing noise. When replacing the front hub bearing, be sure to also replace the old bearing inner race that is press fit onto the hub. Follow the Sonata Shop Manual for the proper procedure for replacing the front hub bearing.
