When removing rear suspension assembly, ensure front of vehicle is adequately supported to prevent tilting during removal procedure.
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove lateral rod mounting bolt, Figs. 2 through 5, then secure to axle beam with wire.
3. Raise torsion axle and arm assembly with a suitable jack, then remove shock absorber mounting nuts and trailing arm mounting bolts.
4. Lower jack slowly and remove rear suspension assembly from vehicle.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten nuts and bolts to specifications.
