B1209 Intake Potentiometer Short (High) - Component Inspection

Component Inspection

Check intake actuator.
1. Check actuator motor
(1) Ignition "OFF".
(2) Disconnect intake actuator.
(3) Connect (+) terminal of battery to terminal 3 of intake actuator and (-) terminal to terminal 4
(4) Verify that the actuator operates to the FRE position
(5) Verify that the temperature actuator operates to the REC position with reverse connecting. ((+) to 4 and (-) to 3)




(6) Dose the actuator work properly?





2. Check actuator potentiometer
(1) Ignition "ON".
(2) Connect intake actuator.
(3) Measure voltage between terminal "6" and "7" of passenger air mix actuator while operating the intake switch.

Specification : Refer the specifications in fig 3)
