Clearance Inspection

Measure both the intake rocker shaft and exhaust rocker shaft.





1. Measure the diameter of each shaft at first the rocker location.





2. Zero the cylinder bore gauge to the shaft diameter.





3. Measure the inside diameter of each rocker arm, and check for an out-of round condition.

Intake and Exhaust
Standard (New): 0.025 - 0.052 mm (0.0010 - 0.0020 inch)
Service Limit: 0.08 mm (0.003 inch)

4. Repeat for all rockers. If over limit, replace the rocker shaft and all over tolerance rocker arms.

NOTE: If any rocker arm needs replacement, replace all three rocker arms in that set (primary, mid, and secondary).
