Catalytic Converter: Description and Operation
The TWC (Three-Way Catalytic Converter) converts hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO), and oxides of nitrogen (NOx) in the exhaust gas to carbon dioxide (CO2), dinitrogen (N2), and water vapor.
