Supplemental Restraint System Troubleshooting

BACKGROUND
The troubleshooting information in the service manual for the DE SRS unit applies to the unit originally installed in the 1995 Accord. In the 1995 Accord Supplemental Restraint System Recall (see service bulletin 96-061), this unit is being replaced with a new SRS unit that is also manufactured by DE. This service bulletin updates the service manual to include troubleshooting information for this replacement DE SRS unit.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Revise the 1995 Accord Service Manual to remind you to use this service bulletin when it is necessary to troubleshoot a DE-manufactured SRS unit.

1. Several copies of a peel-and-stick revision to the service manual are included in this service bulletin mailing. Put this revision on page 23-313 of every 1995 Accord service manual in the dealership.

2. Draw a big "X" on pages 23-316 through 23-342 of each service manual as a reminder not to use that troubleshooting procedure.
