Replacement Rear Brake Pads

SUBJECT
Replacement rear brake pads for the 1994-95 Accords are available in two types. One type is "low noise," while the other type offers "longer life." Be sure to install the type of rear brake pad that suits the individual owner's needs.

Brake Pad:

The original-equipment rear brake pads are less likely to make noise, but they will not last as long. The "low noise" rear brake pads are stamped on the back with this manufacturer's identification number: NBK D6222FF.

Brake Pad:

The optional rear brake pads have a longer service life, but they are more prone to squeal or squeak when the brakes are applied lightly. The "longer life" rear brake pads are stamped on the back with this manufacturer's identification number: NBK N601FG.

To minimize the "squeal or squeak," apply a thin, even coat of the supplied Molykote M77 to the backs of the pads and to both sides of the shim(s). Do not contaminate the brake pad friction material.
