Intake Air System

PURPOSE
The Intake Air System supplies the engine with intake air. This system is located on the top of the engine and is composed of the following components: Intake air pipe, Air Cleaner, intake air duct, Throttle Body, Idle Air Control Valve, Fast Idle Thermo Valve, and intake manifold. A resonator in the intake air pipe provides additional silencing as air is drawn into the system.

OPERATION
Air enters through the intake air pipe, the resonator, and into the air cleaner. From the air cleaner the air circuilates through the intake air duct, throttle body, intake manifold, and into the combustion chamber.
