BACKGROUND

Some Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) electronic control units may cause airbag deployment when it is not necessary to protect the front seat passengers.

CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION

Owners of all affected vehicles will be mailed a notification of this recall. This notice will ask the owner to call the nearest Honda dealer and make an appointment to have the vehicle repaired. An example of the notification is at the end of this service bulletin.
