Probable Cause

The heater control valve is being held slightly open as a result of one of these causes:

Ohio-Produced Accords

^ The heater control cable is out of adjustment.

^ The air mix cable is binding.

^ The temperature control knob gears inside the control panel are out of synchronization.

Japan-Produced Accords

^ The heater control cable is out of adjustment.

^ The outer covering of the air mix cable is deformed, causing it to move around in the clip at the air mix control arm.
