High Pressure Safety Valve HVAC: Service and Repair

Relief Valve Replacement:

Removal
NOTE: Make sure the suction and discharge ports are plugged with caps.

- Remove the three bolts, heat insulator, relief valve, and O-ring.

CAUTION: Be careful not to spill compressor oil, and make sure there is no foreign matter in system.


Installation
- Clean off the relief valve mating surface.
- Replace O-ring with new one at relief valve, and apply refrigerant oil to it.
- Tighten the relief valve.
- Check the relief valve for leaks and cap the relief valve with the valve seal.
