Tilt Lever Adjustment

Checking Preload Of Tilt Mechanism:

^ Check the tilt lever for proper preload.

1. Attach a spring scale to the knob of the tilt lever Measure the preload required to move the lever.


Preload: 70-90 N (7-9 kg, 15-20 lbs)

Stopper Installation:

2. If the preload measured is not within the specification, remove the 6 mm bolt and stopper. Then adjust the preload by tightening or loosening the tilt lock bolt.

3. Reinstall the stopper and 6mm bolt, and recheck the preload.
