Water Pump: Service and Repair

NOTE: When refilling cooling system, remember to bleed the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System / Service and Repair / Cooling system Bleed.
1. Drain cooling system into suitable container.
2. Remove timing belt. Refer to Engine Mechanical / Timing Components / Timing Belt / Service and Repair.

3. Remove water pump attaching bolts, then the water pump, Figs. 49 and 50.
4. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten water pump attaching bolts to specification
