PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATOR OPENFig. 2 Passenger Side Short Connector Location:
Disconnect the battery negative and positive terminals, then connect the short connector to driver's air bag assembly, Fig. 2.
1. Connect test harness B between SRS unit and SRS main harness, then measure resistance between B2 and B8 terminals. If resistance is more than 200 ohms, go to step 2. If resistance is less than 200 ohms, the SRS unit is defective. Replace as necessary.
2. Disconnect passenger's airbag 3-pin connector, then connect test harness C to airbag side of connector. Measure resistance between No. 7 and No. 8 terminals. If resistance is more than 200 ohms, passenger's airbag inflator is defective. Replace as necessary. If resistance is less than 200 ohms, cable reel is defective. Replace as necessary.
