Door Glass Rattles
SYMPTOM
The door glass is loose and rattles.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The sash guide pin is broken.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the sash guide pin.
1. Lower the door glass and remove the outer door sash garnish and sash guide.
2. Remove the door panel. Refer to Page 20-5 of the service manual.
3. Remove the glass mounting bolts and remove the glass from the door.
4. Remove the old sash guide pin and bracket, and check that all debris is removed from the door glass and door well.
5. Install a new sash guide pin kit in the door glass and tighten to 7.5 kg-cm (6.5 lb.in) +/- 2.5 kg-cm (2 lb.in).
6. Reinstall the glass in the door and fasten the glass mounting bolts.
7. With the glass lowered, slide the sash guide into the guide pin bracket. Fasten the sash guide with the four screws.
8. Reinstall the plastic cover and plug in all electrical connectors. Check for proper operation of all switches and the door glass.
9. Reinstall the door panel, door handle assembly, and outer door sash garnish.
