Front Door is Difficult to Open (Supersedes 90-032, dated December 7, 1990)
SYMPTOM
The front inside door handle doesn't work.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The actuator rod clip is loose or broken.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the actuator rod and the actuator rod clip with the parts listed under PARTS INFORMATION.
1. Remove the door panel and gently pull the plastic cover out of the way.
2. Loosen the three screws securing the latch assembly and replace the actuator rod and the loose/broken actuator clip.
3. Install the actuator rod and actuator clip, then tighten the latch assembly screws.
4. Look between the outer molding and the inner door skin, and watch the actuator clip as you work the inner door handle.
5. If the actuator clip is stretched, recheck the installation of the rod.
6. When you are satisfied that the actuator clip and rod are working normally, reinstall the plastic cover and the door panel.
