SRS SYSTEM UNIT GROUND AND COMPONENT GROUND OPEN

Disconnect the battery negative and positive terminals, then connect the short connector to the air bag assembly, Fig. 1.

1. Connect special test harness tool No. 07LAZ-SL40200 or equivalent, between SRS system unit and main harness connector.
2. Ensure continuity between B5 terminal and ground, then B15 terminal and ground. If continuity exists, SRS unit is defective. Replace as necessary. If continuity does not exist, SRS unit ground, control unit component grounds or main harness is defective. Repair or replace as necessary.
