Heater Control Valve Cable: Adjustments
1. Open the hood and disconnect the heater valve cable.
2. Remove the air mix cable.
3. Turn the cable arm to stop 1 and connect the end of the cable to the arm.
4. Gently slide the cable outer housing back from the end enough to take up any slack in the cable, but not enough to make the temperature control knob (lever) move. Hold the end of the cable housing against stop 2, then snap the housing into the clamp.
5. Under the hood. Turn the water valve arm to SHUT and connect the end of the cable to the arm.
6. Gently slide the cable outer housing back from the end enough to take up any slack in the cable, but not enough to make the temperature control knob (lever) move, then snap the cable housing into the clamp.
NOTE: The air mix cable should always be adjusted whenever the heater valve cable has been disconnected.
