Air Intake Duct Screen Installation
PROBLEM

Leaves and other foreign material enter the air intake duct.



CORRECTIVE ACTION

1. Remove the battery.

2. Remove the 3, 10 mm under-hood relay box mount bolts, and move the relay box to the side.

3. Remove the air intake duct mounting screw
4. Raise the car on a lift.

5. Remove the right front wheel.

6. Remove the mud flap.



7. Remove enough of the right front inner fender to be able to reach the air intake duct.



8. Remove the air intake duct.

9. Apply the Honda weatherstripping to the outer edge of the screen, and insert it into the air intake duct.



10. Ensure that the air intake system and air cleaner housing are free of leaves or other foreign matter, then reinstall the air intake duct.
NOTE: Be sure the air intake duct fits into the metal band in the body.

11. Install the air intake duct screw.

12. Install the inner fender.

NOTE: Replace any cowl clips damaged during removal.

13. Install the wheel, under-hood relay box and battery.
