Air Control Valve A

Civic 1500 & CRX Exc. HF
1. Disconnect vacuum hose No. 29 at vacuum hose manifold and connect suitable hand vacuum pump to hose.
2. Disconnect air hose between air control valve A and frequency solenoid valve A at solenoid valve and connect vacuum pump and pressure gauge to hose.
3. Apply vacuum to hose No. 29 and blow air through the air suction hose.
3. When vacuum is applied, air should flow without resistance and gauge should not register any pressure. When vacuum is released, air should flow with resistance, pressure should build up on the gauge and be released gradually.
4. If there is a change in air flow resistance when vacuum is released, reconnect air suction hose and hose No. 29, then proceed to ``Frequency Solenoid Valve B'' test procedure. If there is no change in air flow resistance, replace air control valve A and repeat test.
