Connecting Rear View Mirror Linkage During PDI
To prevent damage, 1986 Accord DX models are shipped with the adjustment linkage in their outside rear view mirrors disconnected, and a special clip installed to keep the mirrors "folded-in." You must connect the linkage and remove the retainers during the pre-delivery inspection.
NOTE: Remove the retainers carefully to prevent dislodging the mirrors' main springs. If the main springs become dislodged see "Replacing a Dislodged Main Spring."
