Air Diverter Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

Civic, CRX & 1985-87 Accord W/Carbureted Engine

1. Disconnect vacuum hose from vacuum holding solenoid valve connect vacuum pump to air vent cut-off diaphragm.
2. Apply vacuum air vent cut-off diaphragm. Diaphragm should hold vacuum.
3. If vacuum decreases, replace diaphragm and repeat test.
4. Remove vacuum pump and reconnect hose between air vent cut-off diaphragm and vacuum holding solenoid valve.
