Dashboard / Instrument Panel: Service and Repair

1. Remove the left side lower dash panel, and the fuse box cover.

CAUTION: Note screw locations carefully for reinstallation. Another "hole" in this panel is actually the sound outlet for the seat belt buzzer.

2. Lower the steering column.
3. Disconnect the instrument wire harness from the:
- Fuse box.
- Side wire harness.
- Interior light harness.
- Brake light wire harness.
- Engine compartment wire harness.
4. Remove the heater control panel.
5. Remove the heater control bracket.
6. Remove the dashboard center access panel.
7. Remove the ashtray.





8. Remove the 9 dashboard mounting bolts.
9. Lift the dashboard as you pull so it will slide off the guide pin at the middle; hold it from underneath so it won't fall when it comes off the pin.
10. Install the dashboard in the reverse of removal.
