HONDALINE AUDIO SYSTEM REPAIR
(items out of warranty)

The repair of Hondaline audio system components that are beyond the normal warranty period is now possible. Once you isolate the faulty component(s), take the following steps:

SHIPPING -

1) Carefully package the faulty component(s) in a suitable container. Clarion is not responsible for shipping damage, so pack the components securely. In the box you must include a letter giving the following information:

^ Explain what is wrong with the component(s).
^ State whether or not you want an estimate (the minimum repair charge is $35).
^ Give your name, address, and telephone number (Dealer or customer, whichever applies).

2) Ship the package by United Parcel Service or Insured Postpaid by Parcel Post to the service center nearest you:

ESTIMATES -

When the component(s) is received by Clarion, it will be assigned a Clarion Service Receipt (CSR) number. After the cost of repair is determined, an estimate will be sent to those who request one or if the cost exceeds $50.

CONFIRMATION and PAYMENT -

If you decline the repair, you must pay a $15 estimate charge before the component(s) will be returned to you. Unclaimed items will be disposed of 90-days after the certified notification is mailed.

If you accept the repair, for those who asked for an estimate you will be notified as to the exact cost when the repair is completed. Those who did not ask for an estimate will be notified in the same manner. Your CSR number will be given to you at this time. Send a check for the requested amount and indicate the CSR number. The repaired item(s) will be returned freight postpaid.

9.6 REJECTED PARTS

All parts will be inspected in accordance with the guidelines listed above. Any parts found to be in violation of one or more of the items below will be disallowed and a credit reversal will be issued. The inspection and decision of American Honda shall be considered final.

^ Parts found not to be defective.

^ Parts damaged from use of improper tools or procedures during removal by the dealer.

^ Parts damaged in transit due to improper packaging.

^ Wrong part received.

^ Assembly received in disassembled or incomplete condition.

^ Parts tags received without the parts attached.

^ Parts found to be a repairable assembly.

^ Parts found to be non-genuine or approved Honda parts.

^ Parts received with insufficient or incorrect documents.

Rejected items which are in normal operating condition will be returned to the dealer, freight collect. The respective claims will be disallowed or debited.

Rejected items which are not in normal operating condition will be held 30 days pending any dealer request for the return of the parts freight collect. After this time, parts will be disposed of. The respective claims will be disallowed or debited.
