Cruise Control Servo Cable: Adjustments

1. Check that the actuator cable moves smoothly with no binding or sticking.
2. Start the engine. Hold the engine at 3,000 rpm with no load (shift lever in [N] or [P] position) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle.

3. Stop the engine, and measure the amount of free play of the output linkage.
It should be 5 ± 0.5 mm (0.20 ± 0.02 in).

If the free play is not within the specifications, go to step 4.

4. Turn the adjusting nut until it is 5 ± 0.5 mm (0.20 ± 0.02 in) away from the bracket.

5. Pull the cable so that the adjusting nut touches the bracket, and tighten the locknut.
