Repair Procedure

1. With the windows closed, spray water on the outside of the front door windows; then operate them while you look and listen for the judder.

2. Remove the door panel from the door with the affected window. (See page 20-7 of the 1997 CR-V Service Manual for door panel removal and installation.)






3. Carefully peel back the lower rear corner of the door's plastic cover (rain protector) by cutting the sealant with a utility knife.

4. Loosen the roller guide rear bolt with a 10 mm socket on a foot pound torque wrench. Then, with the socket still on the bolt, slide the bolt to the top of its adjustment hole, and torque it to 8 N.m (6 lb-ft).

5. Test the operation of the window.

6. Reinstall the plastic cover and the door panel.
