Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve: Service and Repair
Notice: Use of the correct PCV valve for the engine and equipment type is very important. Wrong or substandard parts may result in any of the problems just listed as well as powertrain component damage. An engine which is operated without an effective crankcase ventilation system can suffer damage. Therefore, it is important to replace the Positive Crankcase Ventilation ([1][2]PCV) valve at proper intervals.
Periodically inspect the hoses and clamps for signs of deterioration. Replace when necessary.
