Overhaul

Wheel Cylinder Components:

DISASSEMBLE
1. Boots.
2. Pistons.
3. Cup seals.
4. Spring.
5. Bleeder valve.
6. Clean wheel cylinder body in clean brake fluid and dry with filtered, unlubricated compressed air.
7. Inspect wheel cylinder body, piston, cup seals and spring for rust, deterioration, wear, pitting and corrosion. Replace as necessary.

NOTE: If using OEM overhaul kit, use all components included in kit.

ASSEMBLE
1. Bleeder valve and tighten to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.).
2. Spring to wheel cylinder body.
3. Cup seals, taking care that lip does not become turned under.
4. Pistons.
5. Boots over end of wheel cylinder body. Ensure lip of boot sits securely in groove on wheel cylinder body.
