Hydraulic Modulator/Motor Pack Assembly

WARNING: To help avoid personal injury due to a retained load on the hydraulic modulator/motor pack assembly, and to prevent setting Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), the Gear Tension Relief function of the Tech 2, or equivalent scan tool, must be performed prior to removal of the hydraulic modulator.

Found On LH Side Of Engine Compartment.:





REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Using the scan tool, perform the Gear Tension Relief sequence.
2. Negative (-) battery cable.
3. Motor pack, ABS solenoids and shuttle switch electrical connectors.
4. Place a shop towel beneath the hydraulic modulator brake pipes to prevent brake fluid from contaminating the motor pack or the electrical connectors.
5. Six brake pipes from hydraulic modulator and shuttle valve.
6. Plug brake pipes to prevent loss or contamination of brake fluid.
7. Three bolts and hydraulic modulator/motor pack assembly from vehicle.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Hydraulic modulator/motor pack assembly to vehicle, secure and tighten three bolts to 5.4 Nm (48 inch lbs.).
2. Remove plugs from brake pipes and connect to hydraulic modulator, secure each brake pipe and tighten nuts to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
3. Motor pack, ABS solenoids and shuttle valve electrical connectors.
4. Negative (-) battery cable.
5. Bleed brake system. Service and Repair
