Rear Extension Oil Seal Removal Procedure





1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the propeller shaft. Refer to Propeller Shaft Replacement- Rear.
3. Remove the rear extension oil seal.

Installation Procedure

- J 21426 Rear Extension Seal Installer





1. Install the new seal using J21426.
2. Install the propeller shaft. Refer to Propeller Shaft Replacement- Rear.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Check the transmission fluid level. Refer to Fluid Capacity. Use Dexron III Automatic Transmission Fluid.
