Air Injection Vacuum Control Solenoid Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the solenoid electrical connector.




3. Disconnect vacuum lines (1) at solenoid.




4. Remove the solenoid retainer screw.




5. Remove the solenoid from the air pump.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the solenoid on the air pump.




2. Install the solenoid retaining screw.




3. Install the vacuum hoses (1) on the solenoid.




4. Install the solenoid electrical connector.
