Fluid - Transfer Case: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
^ Raise and support the vehicle.
^ Place a container under the drain plug to catch the oil.

1. Fill plug.
2. Drain plug. Allow the oil to drain.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Drain plug.
- Tighten:
^ Drain plugs to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
2. Transfer case oil.
- Fill the transfer case until the oil level is at the bottom of the oil fill plug hole.
3. Fill plug.
- Tighten:
^ Fill plugs to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
4. Lower the vehicle.
