Thermac Vacuum Diaphragm Replacement
Vacuum Motor & Sensor Replacement:
REMOVE
- Air cleaner assembly
- Vacuum hose from vacuum motor
- Drill out the two spot welds initially with a 1.6 mm (1/16") drill bit, then enlarge as required to remove retaining strap. Do NOT damage snorkel tube
- Motor retaining strap
- Lift up motor, cocking it to one side to unhook motor linkage at the control damper assembly
INSTALL
- Drill a 2.8 mm (7/64") hole in snorkel tube at the center of vacuum motor retaining strap
- Vacuum motor linkage into control damper assembly
- Use motor retaining strap and sheet metal screw provided in motor service package to secure motor to snorkel tube. Make sure screw does NOT interfere with operation of damper assembly. Shorten screw if required for clearance
- Vacuum hose to motor and install air cleaner assembly
- Check THERMAC system to ensure proper operation
