Removal

CAUTION: Brake fluid is harmful to painted and plastic surfaces. If brake fluid is spilled on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water. If spilled on a plastic surface, wipe up immediately.

1. Remove the transaxle.
2. Clean any grease and foreign material from the input shaft.
3. Remove and discard the clutch slave cylinder.

Installation

1. CAUTION: Do not apply grease on any area of the clutch slave cylinder.

Install a new clutch slave cylinder and seal.
^ Tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
2. Install the transaxle.
3. Bleed the clutch hydraulic system. For additional information, refer to Manual Transaxle/Transmission and Clutch - General Information.
