NOTE: F-250/350 shown, F-450/550 similar.









Removal and Installation

1. Remove the brake pads. For additional information, refer to Brake Pads Front Disc Brake.

2. Remove and discard the 2 brake caliper anchor plate bolts.
- To install F-250, F-350, tighten the new bolts to 225 Nm (166 lb-ft).

- To install F-450, F-550, tighten the new bolts to 400 Nm (295 lb-ft).

3. Inspect the brake caliper anchor plate assembly.
- Check the guide pin boots for damage and replace as necessary.

- Check the guide pins for binding and damage.

- If pins are worn or damaged, install new pins. Lubricate the pins with silicone grease.

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
