Hood Latch Release Cable Routing




Removal and Installation

1. Remove the air cleaner. For additional information, refer to Intake Air Distribution and Filtering Air Cleaner.

2. Remove the hood latch. For additional information, refer to Hood Latch Service and Repair.

3. Remove the battery tray. For additional information, refer to Battery, Mounting and Cables Battery Tray.

4. Release the hood latch release cable routing clips.

5. Remove the Smart Junction Box (SJB). For additional information, refer to Multifunction Electronic Modules Service and Repair.

6. Remove the hood latch release handle bolt.
- To install, tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).

7. Disconnect the hood latch release cable from the handle.

8. Remove the hood latch release cable.
- Pull the hood latch release cable through the cowl panel into the engine compartment.

9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
