Transmission Support Insulator

Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Jacking and Lifting Service and Repair.

2. NOTE: The transmission insulator studs may come out of the insulator while removing the insulator-to-crossmember nuts. Install new transmission insulator studs if the studs come out.

Remove the transmission support crossmember. For additional information, refer to Full Frame and Body Mounting Service and Repair.

3. Remove the transmission insulator from the extension housing.
- Discard the bolts.





Installation

1. If required, install new transmission insulator studs.
- Tighten to 75 Nm (55 lb-ft).

2. Install the transmission insulator and the new transmission insulator-to-extension housing bolts.
- Tighten to 103 Nm (76 lb-ft).





3. Install the transmission support crossmember. For additional information, refer to Full Frame and Body Mounting Service and Repair.
