Brake Pedal Assy: Service Precautions

CAUTION: The brake pedal and the accelerator pedal must be in same position before removal. The pedals must be in the completely forward (toward the driver) or completely rearward (away from the driver) position.

CAUTION: The brake pedal and the accelerator pedal must be in the same position before installation. The pedals must be in the completely rearward (away from the driver) position.

CAUTION: When the brake booster push rod is disconnected from the brake pedal, the brake pedal return spring will force the brake pedal up.
