Rear

Removal

1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove the brake drum.





4. Remove the hub cap grease seal.

5. CAUTION: Discard the rear wheel hub retainer and washer assembly. It is a torque prevailing design and cannot be reused.





Remove the retainer and washer assembly.





6. Remove the wheel hub from the rear wheel spindle.

Installation

1. Thoroughly clean any grease from the surrounding surfaces. If a new hub assembly is being installed, remove the protective coating using carburetor degreaser.





2. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Use a new retainer and washer assembly.
